Teen Speaker
School assemblies across the United States book young speakers to address their students on various topics. Some of the topics include: school bullying, leadership, drug abuse and any topic the school needs to be addressed.
Why school bullying?
A teen speaker can come to your school and create an awareness about school bullying. Schools everywhere have to deal with this issue. If your school has bullies it would be good to start a campaign about having a zero tolerence when it comes to bullies and hire a teen speaker to come and speak to your students about the consequences.
Student Leadership
It’s important for students to hear about the characteristics of a leader. Students who hear about leadership opportunities often walk away inspired to be leaders in their school. Students who take leadership tend to make better grades and often encourage students to also do the same. So whena teen speaker is able to share his/her story about how they have taken leadership roles many often follow, student take action.
Drug Abuse
It’s not a secret that teens often try drugs simply because of peer pressure. This is why red ribbon month has been adopted in our nation and this is the perfect time to bring in a youth speaker to address drug abuse. Students have died simply by wanting to try out a new drug so i’m important to bring an awareness to your campus. The last thing you want is for somebody at your school to hurt themselves by using drugs. Join schools across America as they celebrate Red Ribbon Week by inviting a youth speaker.
Planning Teen Event
So if you are considering a day where you can inspire your students, hire a teen motivational speaker to address these topics and watch what happens to your students after the day. Challenge your students to write papers around what the teen speaker talks about. Have them open up in the classroom about what they heard. Make the most out of the day, too many schools bring a speaker and never have a follow up session with their students. Teens like to be challenged and they like to be involved in projects that involved change. So create a positive change on your campus and start a campaign, let a teen speaker help you kick off the event.
Be sure to budget for a speaker and get teachers and the principal involved in planning for the event. If only one person is involved, make sure that person lets everyone know what is going on so that it creates buzz and excitement from the school administration and the students.
